Creating a Leadership Culture

Creating a Leadership Culture

Lincoln Secondary College is a exceptionally large and complex multi-campus government school.  There are two significant teams making up the leadership structure: a high performing Executive Team of 8 senior leaders and the College Leadership Team with 40 members.  I have been engaged to work alongside the Executive Team as they develop an ambitious cultural change within the College Leadership Team.  The work is taking place across 12-18 months and includes a great deal of planning and preparation leading to the facilitation of several masterclasses.  My prior experience, together with an understanding of the research in this area, enables me to bring an external perspective and to take the role of critical friend with challenge and support.

The anticipated outcomes are:

  • College Leaders expand their view of leadership, moving from a siloed inward-looking approach to becoming high-impact whole-of-organisation leaders.
  • The Principal and the Executive Team, working together as a team, learn to be courageous in loosening the reins of control and creating the space and expectation for College Leadership Team members to be more “leaderly”.
